Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Is Aware of Fans' Season 2 Bingo Cards — With Some Good News

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel arrives on the streaming platform soon, and fan speculation has been intense.

The first season introduces a diverse group of personalities residing in the afterlife, sets them at odds with songs about their clashes, and establishes heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel audience devotion.

The community's expectations for season 2 vary widely, but certain themes emerge over and over: Will a fan-favorite character escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with fan service as the main goal," the creator stated recently. "But I feel like me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She reveals her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That might mean viewers have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they may be surprised at how fast the new season progresses, and how many of what they're anticipating happens now.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some incredible disclosures, some fascinating backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — particularly in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a few fans make a prediction grid about the new season," she mentions. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've already completed some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
