The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Warriors Table

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master the talented storyteller has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a wide array of characters, and a gripping narrative showcasing celestial beings, fiends, and sinister influences increasing in strength within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Key plot points for the latest installment of the new season follow below.

The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced

The latest chapter concluded with a huge suspense moment and revealed the first table of heroes who will split off from the primary party to undertake their independent quest, apart from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table includes Teor (played by Travis Willingham), Thimble (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan (Robbie).

The Reason for Division

Given a large ensemble, it was evident from the outset that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unworkable.

That’s why, the initial installments of this story serve as an Overture, connecting the personal journeys before splitting into three separate parties: Warriors, Planners, and Seekers.

Characteristics of the Soldiers Table

According to the DM, the Soldiers table is for participants who enjoy a typically action-packed fight-heavy narrative style where diplomatic options are rare.

Upon first impression, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander might seem unsuited, but the actions of the latest installment show why these five characters are ideally matched for the combat party.

Why They Must Go

To begin with, the group understands precisely where to go next after a brutal opening clash with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of the deceased character—whose death initiated the narrative’s action—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the character, and stealing all the enchanted items to auction.

The traitor then paid off his obligations and escaped to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, above Dol-Makjar, with Cyd close behind.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each character has a individual motive to leave the city the urban setting:

  • The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, seeks vengeance.
  • Kattigan is familiar with Timmony and cautions that it is a nasty place.
  • The strong character and Wicander, having resisted his relatives’ demands to eliminate the fighter and instead rescued him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their status as prominent individuals in the influential clan could enable the group access places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, Teor swore a eternal obligation to Wicander for his salvation and will now follow him wherever.

Pursued by Authorities

Lastly, all of them are wanted by the rulers that govern the city for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city dangerous:

  • Thimble and The character are notorious outlaws.
  • The strong figure and The cleric defied House Halovar and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
  • The target is wanted dead by the family.

This means them no alternative but to travel to Timmony in pursuit of Casimir.

What’s Next?

From the latest episode’s post-show segment, we find out that the warrior group will not appear in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight cast members to round up the Explorers and Strategists groups.

Fans can anticipate finding out which characters will be where in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, released on next week.
